︎A reinterpretation of the traditional Fengshui ornament (which is commonly produced by carving highly detailed pattern on wood) using contemporary fabrication techniques and creative approaches. For the process, a Fengshui decorating pattern is selected and blurred as a bump map texture that will soon be applied to modify the surface of a disc in a 3D space. Such 3D data has been used to CNC on top of a solid wood panel, producing the final piece.
